Joliet Historic Preservation Commission

In 1990 the City of Joliet enacted a Historic Preservation Ordinance to establish local landmarks and district and promote cultural awareness of its historic resources.  The ordinance also established the twleve member Joliet Historic Preservation Commission as an advisory board to the City Council to support these goals.

You can learn more about historic preservation in the City of Joliet, view local landmarks and districts, and access forms and information materials at the Joliet Historic Preservation Commission's website.
