The
City of Joliet sponsors many festivals and parades throughout the year. Among
these are: The Easter Parade on Palm Sunday, the Antique and Sports Car Festival in
June, Waterway Daze in July, BBQ Blues Bash, Polka Fest, Latin Music
Festival in August and Pumpkin Fest in late in September/October, Christmas Parade the Friday after Thanksgiving,
and the Festival of Gnomes in December.
The Holiday season
is particuly festive in Joliet with the Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
Ceremony kicking off the holiday season. Other seasonal activities include the
Festival of Trees, the Symphony of Lights and the First Night-Joliet throughout
the City Center on New Year's Eve. The Will County Chamber of Commence and Center
for Economic Development maintains a schedule of Joliet Special Events. Call Cam
