Dr. Charles Eldred Home
The structure is a 2 ½ story, Queen Anne/NeoClassical style , wood clapboard residence built circa 1898 on a Joliet limestone foundation. A 3-story tower with conical roof dominates the south side of the front façade. The third story of the tower has an open balcony. The central portion of the front façade has a Classical front porch with Ionic, fluted columns and pediment over the front entry.
Charles Eldred was a prominent Joliet doctor in the late 19th and early 20th Century . The 1st floor of the tower housed his office.
