M.Z. Button House — 501 West Marion

 

The M.Z. Button house is a 2 1/2 story, wood clapboard, Queen Anne/Colonial Revival style structure built circa 1910 on a Joliet limestone foundation. The house has a one story, open, wrap front porch with a pedimented entry on the southeast corner.

The porch is supported on single, turned columns ornamented with spandrel ladderwork just below the eave. A Palladian attic window decorates the south-facing gable. The structure is a Local Joliet Landmark.
