Henry & Helen Balensiefer House — 204 Sherman Street

The Henry & Helen Balensiefer house is a 2 story wood clapboard Dutch Colonial style structure built in 1906 on a Joliet limestone foundation. The property retains many original features including wood windows, front porch and lunette window in the front and side-facing gables. The structure is an individual local landmark and part of the Colonial Revival Thematic District and is part of the East Side National Register District
