Charitable Raffle License Application [PDF]

In accordance with Chapter 18, Article XX Charitable Raffles of the Joliet Code of Ordinances, the City of Joliet requires issuance of a Raffle Permit. Only charity raffles sponsored by an organization or institute organized and operated to benefit an indefinite number of public members are licensed by the City of Joliet. Four (4) types of permits are available.

Application fee starts at $10.00
Processing takes four (4) weeks.

Not-For-Profit Street Solicitation (Tag Days) [PDF] 

In accordance with Chapter 22, Article I Solicitation of Business and Contribution on Highways and Streets of the Joliet Code of Ordinances, an application is required for not-for-profit groups to solicit donations on the public rights-of-way in the City of Joliet. Collection on Illinois Route 59 is prohibited.

Please read the directions carefully because additional information is required at time of submittal.

Application fee is not required.

Processing takes a minimum of four (4) weeks. Dates are reserved during the first month of the calendar year on a first come first serve basis when a completed application has been submitted and accepted. 


Open Air Meeting (Block Party) Application [PDF]

In accordance with Chapter 26, Article V Parades and Open Air Meetings of the Joliet Code of Ordinances, a permit is required whenever there is a congregation of citizens held outdoors and upon any alley, highway, or any public way, or on any property belonging to or under the supervision or control of the city government. The approval allows for the right-of-way to be temporarily closed.

Please read the directions carefully because additional items such as a photo-id and signatures of the residents on the street proposed to be closed must be submitted with the application.

It is the responsibility of the contact person to block the street. The City of Joliet does not supply barricades to block the street and the use of motor vehicles is prohibited.

Application fee is not required.
